Description

For the young English educated Indian, from the big cities to the small towns, across gender and across all classes, India's BPO boom changed their lives. They found themselves in the throes of an industry that matched their energy and insatiable hunger for action. Satindra Sen who was part of the team that set up one of the country's first offshoring ventures writes an engaging tale tinged with sharp humour and piercing insight of how things were and how they turned out to be.

Reviews

A true story of a social transformation - triggered and accelerated by the emergence of an `unknown' global service possibility. An economic force made real by the energy, hunger and drive in the `unknown' young work force of India. It all comes alive and sparkles with Satindra's wit, humor and candid expression! -- Kush Kamra Senior Vice President - GSD & Chairman & MD - GOSC, Metlife As someone who has known Satindra on a professional and partially personal level for many years, I find this literary adventure very true to him and his thinking ... Current, relevant and with a level of curiosity that's gripping and infectious. His attempt at dealing with the lives of those involved in India's fascinating BPO and ITeS industry is a success that manages to deal with the realities of this landscape albeit in a way that's entertaining and intertwined with a side that very few know of. If this is what he can produce in his first attempt, i can only hope there is another one coming...I'm hooked! -- Sameer Bhandari Client Executive & VP-2, Healthcare, EXL Service Inc Austin, Texas Area
