Description
A stunning photo album exploring the beauty of Australia riding a Ducati. The urge for travel and adventure, for freedom and discovery has always impelled men to move on, cross oceans and continents, climb mountains and brave deserts. This is a story that celebrates power and grandeur, set on the dirt roads that cross the remote territories of Australia. Two motorcyclists recount in real time their adventures at the wheels of their Ducati Multistrada bikes. Riding along some of the world's wildest and most beautiful dirt roads, they encounter the kangaroos, parrots, shimmering deserts and the forests of Australia. The motorcyclists - with their bikes, their faces strained by fatigue, their shining eyes and emotion-filled smiles - manage to perform magic, transforming the road into a journey.
Author Biography
Marco Campelli, a photographer with ample experience in the world of motor vehicles, is the author of photography books and an avid motorcyclist himself. Beginning with his adolescence riding enduro motorcycles, he has spent a lifetime curbside to immortalize the feats of the champions. The images captured by his camera tell vivid stories of men and motorcycles. His perceptive eye captures the emotions, passions, roads, places and people of this milieu, but most importantly, he captures the magic bond between motorcyclists and their motorcycles. Luca Viglio, Milanese, class of 1974, has a lifelong passion for cars and motorcycles. Riding motorcycles since the age of fourteen, he is a true enthusiast of the marvels of two and four-wheeled vehicles. A fine driver himself, he has garnered a number of important motorcycle trophies, including Pharaons Rally 2011, Dakar 2013 and 2014, Merzouga Rally 2015, and ISDE 2016, 2017 and 2019. As a photographer and experienced traveller, he has crossed more than forty countries on his motorcycle, riding out from Milan.
