Author Biography
Robyn Opie is the author of more than 70 published children's books. She has been writing for children for 8 years; most of her books are sold around the world and many have been translated into foreign languages. Robyn lives in Adelaide, South Australia, with her partner (also a writer), two dogs and thousands of children's books. She considers Black Baron to be her most favourite children's book that she has written (so far!). Robyn enjoys visiting schools to talk about writing and where she gets her ideas. She also enjoys showing students how writers create believable characters and develop stories around them. In 2001, Robyn completed a mentorship with the May Gibbs Children's Literature Trust.
