Description
Take a fresh look at the world from an animal's perspective. In this fun flap-filled book, you'll learn how smell plays a key role in the lives of animals and shapes their behaviour and relationships. Each flap reveals the hidden side to each environment only perceptible through smell. Watch a polar bear track its prey beneath the ice, join a column of marching ants, and learn how to say hello to a family of forest piglets. Anything is possible when you follow your nose!

An ingenious, interactive way of learning that is not to be sniffed at." * Lancashire Evening Post * "A fascinating insight into the noses of wild animals and the extent to which their sense of smell operates. There are plenty of strange-but-true facts that will appeal to young readers." * Armadillo Magazine * "In this fascinating book the reader is invited to 'take a fresh sniff at the world from an animal's perspective' and explore the different roles that a sense of smell plays in shaping animal behaviour and relationships ... Supported by full-colour illustrations, the reader's interest is further sustained through the use of flaps which when lifted often reveal surprising facts." -- Carolyn Swain * English 4-11 Picture Book Editorial Board * "The 'lift the flaps' were great fun, but also very informative ... The illustrations are also wonderful and, in fact, make this book something of a showpiece.
