Author Biography
Richard Merritt has been an illustrator for 15 years. His intricately detailed illustrations have become a staple of the best-selling Art Therapy and Menagerie series, and has led to television appearances. Lizzie Preston is a versatile designer, illustrator and all-round creative. Lizzie loves anything from doodles to laser cuts, graphic to hand drawn and has a real passion for typography and intricate illustration. Sam Loman's talents are spread across a range of disciplines, having worked extensively with graphic design, photography, product design and writing children and non-fiction books. Laura-Kate Chapman She likes to weave intricate patterns into her work as she feels that it is attention to the little details that can be most captivating. She is interested in a number of creative areas and how illustration can work across them. Hannah Davies is an award-winning Welsh based freelance designer and illustrator. She is a fine-detail Surface Pattern Design specialist who draws on her love of nature for inspiration, producing intricate work rich in texture and colour. Cindy Wilde makes simple, joyful, quirky designs using bold graphic shapes and blocks of flat colour combined with areas of intricate pattern. All the elements within her work are made by hand using acrylic paint, indian ink and simple print techniques. They are then cut and reassembled to create the final piece. Chellie Carroll has worked for Cadburys, Kelloggs, Cancer Research and Readers Digest amongst others. She works primarily with computer-based vector line images and has a flair for intricate zen-tangle drawings - many of which have featured in Relaxing Art Therapy, A Calming Colouring Book for Kids and both Colour and Art Therapy Greeting Cards.
