Reviews

"The pictures quickly and cleverly move from depicting relatively realistic reading nooks to the places readers go in their imaginations... excitement reigns, right up to the gently mind-bending metafictive moment that concludes the book." -Kirkus Reviews "Rilla has crafted a story about the power of books to take us places, but in her text it's as if she has written an incantation to breathe the words alive." -Matthew Winner for the Busy Librarian "A chic encouragement to read . . . With each page, the illustrations become wilder and more thrilling." -The Wall Street Journal "Creative visuals use saturated colors and graphic shapes to cleverly show a reader making her way through the story. She walks with her nose in her book, following wherever it leads--through the streets, to the bus stop, and then far away into her imagination. Each high-contrast spread offers plenty of details and discoveries to explore." -School Library Journal
