'Household Secrets' is for anyone who takes pride in the objects and furniture in their home and wants to know how to look after them properly. We all have household items that are important to us - these need not be precious antiques or fashioned from rare and expensive materials. Frances Halahan, an expert conservator, shows you first how to identify what it is you actually have in your home, and second which products and cleaning techniques should be used to bring out their beauty and increase their longevity. 'Household secrets' draws on the unrivalled wealth of experience and knowledge of National Trust conservators and applies this to everyday objects in the home. In a handy, affordable pocket-sized format, with easy-to-follow step-by-step line drawings, this book provides an essential reference for everyone.
