Author Biography

Joy Cowley is one of New Zealand's best-loved writers for children and adults, with an international reputation. She has won a multitude of awards and honours for her bestselling books, including the Prime Minister's Award for contribution to literature. She was shortlisted for the Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2018. Sarah Davis began illustrating picture books in 2008 and has illustrated more than 30 books. She is a leading illustrator with a wide portfolio of award-winning books. She has won and been shortlisted for numerous awards in Australia and New Zealand, including the 2009 Children's Book Council of Australia's Crichton Award for Best New Illustrator for her first picture book.
