Description

Fishing is one of New Zealand's most popular recreational activities. Throughout the year more than one million Kiwis take the opportunity to fish for sport and fresh food to eat. Author Biography

Tony Orman is a well-known author of some 20 books on fishing and hunting. Although he is a highly acclaimed writer on trout fishing, Tony also loves sea fishing where the variety of fish and the deliberate targeting several of the species with special fishing techniques heighten the challenge. He has served on national outdoor organisations, including the New Zealand Recreational Fishing Council as secretary and the president during the 1980s. Tony now lives in Marlborough where he and his wife, Bridget, enjoy the opportunities for saltwater sport and dining on freshly caught fish.
