As always, the book introduces the new range of fabrics from Rowan, with a gallery of the 20 quilts shot on location, followed by a full shot of the quilt for reference purposes, with the ingredients list of fabrics and full written instructions illustrated with colour diagrams. Templates for the quilts appear in the appendix to the book.

Kaffe Fassett, an accomplished painter and designer of textiles, is widely acknowledged as a visionary in the use of colour. In 1988 he was honored to become the first living textile designer to be given a one person show at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Since then the exhibition of his textiles has traveled the world with him as he has taught and inspired others. He is a fabric designer for Rowan Patchwork and the primary knitwear designer for Rowan Yarns. He is the author of 15 books, which have sold over a million copies worldwide.
