Reviews

The book you hold in your hands is a masterpiece. Distinguished meditation teacher, Christophe Andre, takes a wholly fresh approach to mindfulness, offering beautiful paintings as the starting points for meditation. Little by little, he invites us to first recognise and then bring compassion to our mind's addiction to distraction and how we may learn to rest instead in immersive awareness. He shows how mindfulness does not deny that our worlds can sometimes be intensely painful, yet how training in receptive awareness also reveals that there is a way - discovered again and again over the centuries - that helps bring stability and wholeness to mind and body. Everything about this book is exquisite: its language, its instruction, and its gentle insistence that each of us has to practise cultivating this clarity for ourselves. I whole-heartedly recommend it. * Mark Williams, Emeritus Professor of Clinical Psychology, University of Oxford * A work of art in its own right, and a meditative tour de force * Jon Kabat-Zinn, author of Wherever You Go, There You Are *
