Description
"Sandison's Scotland" is a wonderful collection of stories and tales about some of Scotland's most wild and evocative places; dark Loch Ness, the lifeboats that protect vessels in the turbulent waters of the Pentland Firth, Shetland's famous Up Helly Aa festival, the raucous Kirkwall Ba' Game in Orkney, remote townships, Helmsdale in the east, distant Glegelg in the west, crofts and castles; and many, many more, all written by a man who is clearly in love with his native land, its people, culture and history. "Sandison's Scotland" is a book for all times and all seasons. It will captivate and delight readers as they embark on an unforgettable journey through this magical land.
