Diane Crane works as a freelance craft tutor, running classes and workshops all over the south east of England. She specialises in quilling and won no fewer than three first prizes at the International Festival of Quilling in 2002. She is also twice Popular Vote Winner in the Knitting and Stitching Show's competitions. Diane loves working with paper and enjoys sharing her enthusiasm with other people. When she isn't busy quilling, she likes gardening and collecting quotations. Judy Cardinal has been interested in crafts since she was a child, but only became involved with quilling 15 years ago, when she attended a course run by the WI. She now teaches all types of papercrafts at her own craft studios in Kent, and demonstrates her skills all over the country, as well as on TV.

A compilation form other Search Press titles, this book is a stunning guide to quilling. There are some fantastic ideas in here. The chocolates look fit to eat, the angels are so sweet, the poodles just perfect. This book really made me want to take up quilling. For beginners there is a complete how-to section and for the advanced, projects that offer a challenge. The whole book has excellent photography and step by step instructions. This is a compendium volume containing four previous books by four different authors on quilling wild flowers, 3D decorations, miniatures and corners and borders. Notice that it does not include a book for beginners; there are projects here to entice the intermediate and even advanced quiller but there are also instructions on the basics. The projects themselves tend to be more suitable for those with at least some experience however, so I would advise the beginner to look elsewhere and save this one for later. There are some lovely things in here, from delicate Christmas tree angels and fairy table decorations to napkin rings adorned with autumn leaves and a kitchen memo board decorated with wild flowers. You can also find patterns to decorate cards, gift bags, pictures, boxes and more, many of which are nice chewy projects, involved and interesting. I think my own personal favorites are the 3D decorations for adorning trees and tables, and the tiny motifs on many topics that can be made into repeat borders at the end of the book.
