Description

First impressions count. You've revamped your lounge, beautified your bathroom and landscaped your garden, but you've missed one crucial area - the Front of House. In a new ITV1 series, talented designer Oliver Heath uses original designs that are fresh, modern, and reflect the people who live there, giving their homes a unique and stylish transformation that makes them stand out from the crowd and increases their value. The book takes the series one step further, containing practical advice for people wanting to give their home a face-lift without having to hire Oliver. Discussing in detail each area for renovation - the door, porch, windows, roof, walls, lighting and garden - the book also includes case studies from the series to illustrate concepts and special projects. Front of House will inspire you to give your home a lasting new look, and provide all the help you need to do so.

Author Biography

Oliver Heath is one of the most exciting designers on BBC's Changing Rooms, and has had success on Channel 4's series From House to Home. Oliver also won the BBC Homefront Young Designer of the Year in 1998, going on to present the programme of the same name. When not filming for television Oliver runs his own design practice, Blustin Heath Design, with his business partner Nikki Blustin. Specialising in stylish and innovative designs, they have a wide range of clients including night clubs, domestic projects for developers and community projects. Oliver's first book, Home Book, was published by Cassell Illustrated in 2004.
