Description

Today's kitchens, as much living and entertaining spaces as areas for preparing and cooking food, play a central role in our homes. But planning these spaces involves so many practical considerations - hygiene, storage, access and safety all need to be taken into account - that it is easy to overlook other important design aspects. And yet the fact is that this most flexible of rooms can be the perfect space into which to introduce bold shots of colour, as well as providing the opportunity to showcase some of your favourite possessions. But how do you go about achieving this? What colours will work best? What type of flooring should you have? Will a country or city style of decor fit in with the rest of the house? What about storage? Do you need a large and extendable table for frequent family gatherings? Or is it dinner for two most nights? Whether you have a small galley kitchen or a large space that you share with others, this fascinating book will answer all your questions and more. In this unique and inexhaustible sourcebook of ideas, Stafford Cliff has put together a stunning collection of delightful photographs that will inspire you to create the kitchen of your dreams.
