Author Biography
The Illustrator Quentin Blake is simply today's most popular children's illustrator. His books are loved by children all over the world. His titles include Mr Magnolia, Mrs Armitage and, of course, the many stories of Roald Dahl. THE AUTHOR John Yeoman wrote his first children's book (illustrated by Quentin Blake) immediately after leaving Cambridge University, where he read English. This began a collaboration which has continued for over forty years. He taught for twenty-eight years, mostly as Head of English at the Lycee Francais Charles de Gaulle in London, but retired to spend more time writing, reading and relaxing in France.
Reviews"The pictures, full-page color and vignettes in black-and-white wash, are full of spirit and energy, their vivacious line drawing the eye again and again" "Kirkus Reviews"" "This is an attractive collection that should find an audience, including read-aloud listeners, especially among fairy-tale fans."
