This book includes an abundance of modern stitch patterns and sashiko visible mending designs to transform clothes, that give you ideas to use the patterns for other purposes. The book and patterns are for beginners and more experienced sewists. l also love the way photo's are also used to show how your finished project could and will look. l will use this book over and over again. -- Lynne Callister * Amazon * We all know we could do with making our wardrobes last a little longer. This is a great little book that cuts straight to the point with all sorts of different patterns to use when making visible repairs. It's easy to dip into to find ideas to rejuvenate jeans, cover unsightly stains and tart up tatty knitwear with colourful patches of stitched love. To make things really easy, it comes with reusable iron-on transfers. * Stitch Magazine * These 50 hand-stitched modern mending patterns help us give worn clothes and fabric a new lease of life. The patterns are organized from beginners to experts and each includes a photo and step-by-step diagrams. * Machine Knitting Monthly * A marvellous informative and inspirational book I have really enjoyed this lovely book. The book is written very well, taking into account both beginners and more experienced sewists. The designs are very well photographed, and the instructions are really clear and easy to follow. There is a wide variety of designs, and the techniques for woven or knitted mending are quite decorative. The only thing that seems to be missing is any tips on how to stop the material used for patching on the woven sections from fraying. Other than this minor comment, this book is very educational and enjoyable. Well worth the money. -- Jacqui Grainger * Amazon Customer Review * This book is easy to follow and full of inspiration. An excellent book to inspire both beginners and experienced sewers; even those who have never picked up a needle to have can have a go at decorative mending before throwing away a loved garment or item. There are also lovely ideas to add a Boho feel boring garments. Well-written with clear illustrations and a selection of iron transfers. -- Bernadette McGowan * Amazon Customer Review *
