Description
Jackie Kearney, MasterChef UK finalist in 2011, explores the nutritional benefits of Asian street food with 85 healthy vegan recipes. In an exciting follow-up to Vegan Street Food, Jackie Kearney brings you healthy recipes inspired by her travels. The growing wellness culture and food in Asia is at the heart of this, enlightened by menus that incorporate authentic flavours with plant-based and health-boosting foods. This book is a celebratory journey through healthful Asian food culture, incorporating authentic travel vignettes and authentic recipes alongside more fusion and modern interpretations. With personal anecdotes, pictures from her travels and local facts, explore the healthy vegan street delicacies of Asia with Jackie, through India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. From healthier spins on classics such as Coconut Roti and Raw 'Pad Thai' to more unusual and exciting dishes like Loaded Lotus Root Fries and Rice Paper Pizza, these recipes are truly authentic and totally delightful. With this book in hand, you can explore the true culinary heart of Asia through nutritious and vegan dishes. These dishes range from season to season (think crunchy Watermelon Salad, or a comforting Spiced Tofu & Noodle Claypot), from speedy plates to longer and more rewarding cooking processes, and even include gluten-free options.
