Description
After witnessing the dramatic explosion of the Orca, the ship with his family aboard, Carter Kingsley believes his sister Bea and her godfather Theodore have drowned, alongside his beloved pet saur, Buster the Dwarf Black Tyrant. Bereft and vulnerable, he is taken in by the villainous Viscount and his wife, Anya Stitz. But his family were saved by the saurs they were travelling with, and are still alive. With their new knowledge that the Viscount is hellbent on fulfilling his plans to create a new species of bio-engineered saurs that can be sold for profit - and for bloodshed - Bea and Theodore must somehow track Carter across Europe without being detected. They must stop the Viscount from achieving his aims ... and release Carter from his seductive influence before it is too late. Hidden within the closed world of a travelling circus, Bea and Theodore forge friendships with the self-confessed 'freaks' that will allow them to pull off the most daring rescue plan with the help of Buster and the other circus saurs. With danger at every stop of the big top, they must use their combined powers to triumph in the ultimate saur showdown...
Author Biography
Jay Jay Burridge studied Fine Art Sculpture at Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design. For his degree show he made a forty-foot-long, self-assembled dinosaur skeleton out of MDF. After graduating, in 1994 he took over from the legendary children's TV presenter Tony Hart writing and co-presenting the TV show SMart for the BBC. This grew into three spin-off series and touring live shows. After eight years with the BBC, Jay Jay then turned his attention to a career in commercial art for brands such as Sony, Adidas, and Levis. It was not long before he started up his own custom-made deluxe trucker cap brand, Lucky Seven Caps. In the summer of 2010 he returned to his favourite subject of dinosaurs and exhibited his supersaurs sculptures in a one-man show in Beverly Hills, LA. The 80,000 square-foot space was filled with 15 full-sized supersaurs. With his friend Jamie Oliver, he co-created the Dinersaur Diner, situated in the heart of Piccadilly Circus. Jay Jay lives in Oxfordshire with his family.
