Author Biography
Julia always wanted to be an artist and she originally studied Fine Art printmaking at Brighton University. She recently went back to study at Cambridge School of Art, where she gradually unravelled a way of making illustrations and telling stories on the Children's Book Illustration MA. She also discovered that her printmaking experience has been very useful in her exciting new life as a creator of picture books. She enjoys working with all kinds of materials and processes; especially printmaking, cut-paper, hand-drawn and letterpress typography, all combined through the magic of digital media. Julia lives in the beautiful medieval city of Norwich, UK, with her husband and two children.
