Description
Juan Ortiz turns his unique eye for poster design to the classic sci-fi series Lost In Space. Each episode is lovingly reimagined as a visually striking poster, creating a one of a kind collection to accompany one of the most influential and celebrated sci-fi series of all time. Each poster has a different aesthetic, taking inspiration from 60s movie posters, comic books, pulp novel covers and blacklight posters.
Author Biography
The author of Star Trek: The Art of Juan Ortiz (2013), Juan has been an illustrator/designer for Disney and Warner Bros. for 25 years. He has penciled covers for DC Comics' Looney Tunes and Tiny Toons magazines. He is also the publisher of his own comic book series, Silver Comics, seen in the Disney/Dreamworks release I Am Number Four (produced by Steven Spielberg) as well as The Skull Army, a macabre/detective pulp.
Reviews"weirdly wonderful" SyFy "as quirky and wonderful as the original show" io9 "Definitely among Ortiz's best work, for fans of the series or not" borg.com "The styles are incredibly varied - from 1950s pop art to the sort of covers for TV tie ins, to homages to comics geniuses; pulp meeting high art... A highly imaginative reinterpretation of the classic show. 8/10*s" - SciFi Bulletin
