ReviewsGet ready for the latest and greatest from knitting sensations Arne and Carlos, who return with their new book 55 Christmas Balls To Knit. It's packed with traditional patterns that are primarily meant for baubles but can be adapted for hats, mittens or even sweaters if you fancy the challenge. Featuring classic deer designs with accents of traditional red and white, these balls will add a hint of class to your trees, leaving you with that warm, fuzzy feeling for sure. * Let's Get Crafting * Inspired by traditional Norwegian patterns, 55 Christmas Balls to Knit (RRP 14.99) is sure to be another hit for crafting superstars Arne and Carlos. Each design is easy to create and ideal for the tree, mantelpiece or table. Patterns can also be adapted make hats, mittens and sweaters. * Craft Focus * Dec 11 I really like this book. The designs are all based on the same basic ball with varied, mainly traditional designs and are quite quick and easy to knit. You should be familiar with knitting in the round and in 2 colour knitting to be comfortable with these patterns as there are no instructions on how to knit, just a few pages on special techniques used in the book. I knitted in double knittting pure wool on 3mm needles and have produced some nice results. The balls are quite big when finished, over 2 inches in diameter so if you want to hang a lot on your Christmas tree you would need quite a big tree. I liked the little snippets of interesting facts and background to the designs and the photos were lovely, each ball is photographed individually. I will definitely be making more for next Christmas.-"Kate", Amazon * Customer * Autumn 2013 Who doesn't love Christmas decorations?
