Author Biography

Ralph Oates is a former amateur boxer and a leading boxing historian. He is the author of nine books on boxing and for 18 years he has contributed articles and quizzes for The British Boxing Board of Control Boxing Yearbook. He has acted has a boxing consultant for the Guinness World Records. Ralph had his own weekly column in an Essex newspaper for almost three years titled 'Boxing Corner' and is currently producing another--'Short Jabs' in a monthly Norfolk paper. Ralph twice produced a question list for a major television quiz show.
