Description
The last thing Jack wants right now is to go to France for a school trip to the D-Day landing beaches. He hates leaving his beloved dog, Finn, behind and he misses home too much to have any interest in history. But an unexpected encounter introduces Jack to the true story of English paratrooper Emile Corteil and his dog, Glen - who was not just Corteil's loyal companion but also his parachuting partner. Before Jack knows it, he's been gripped by Corteil and Glen's moving tale, and he will not rest until he discovers their fate on D-Day ...A gripping, poignant historical adventure, publishing for the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
Author Biography
Tom Palmer was a reluctant reader as a child and credits articles about football with getting him into reading. He went on to become a bookseller and then worked in reader development. He is well known for his hugely successful football fiction for Puffin, and is one of Barrington Stoke's top selling authors, writing about both sport and history with great appeal.
