Author Biography
Kasia Matyjaszek is an illustrator based in Edinburgh. She graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a Masters in illustration and her coursework was highly commended by the Macmillan Book Prize. She took part in Picture Hooks and her work was exhibited in The Scottish National Galler. Kasia was shortlisted for the Bookbug Picture Book Prize for her collaboration with Michelle Sloan The Fourth Bonniest Baby in Dundee. Cornelia Funke is one of Germany's best-loved children's authors. She started out as an illustrator but found herself itching to write her own stories. Since then she has established a huge international fanbase with books such as Dragon Rider and her Inkheart trilogy, which was adapted into a major motion picture. Cornelia lives in Los Angeles.
