Description

Crochet is a traditional needlecraft that has truly stood the test of time - in recent years a whole new generation of young people have taken up this wonderfully versatile craft. Crochet is quick, easy-to-learn and can produce a whole range of different effects, from chunky textured fabric to delicate lacy patterns. This makes it perfect for creating clothes for babies. Making use of the wide selection of yarns available, from pure cotton pastels to soft and colourful wools, the 24 patterns in this delightful book are really simple and can be created in just one or two weekends. The designs include classic sweaters and tops, a duffle coat, a lacy cardigan, a ski-style bobble hat and scarf set, bootees and even some cute toys. Each project has clear instructions, full information on yarns, stitches and techniques and beautiful photographs of the finished garment. In addition, a chapter at the beginning of the book covers basic information and essential techniques.
