Description
All Mums is a love letter to mums everywhere. Mums make us laugh. Mums read us stories. Mums snuggle us when we're sad, and help us grow. Some mums are silly, some are sporty or crafty, but all mums are incredible. Mums can do anything! Created in partnership with GLAAD, this inclusive picture book features and celebrates all different types of mums and the amazing things they do, written by married co-mums, Sarah Kate Ellis, the president and CEO of GLAAD, and musician Kristen Ellis-Henderson.
Author Biography
Kristen Ellis-Henderson is the founding member and guitarist/percussionist of the all-female rock band Antigone Rising, and co-author of Times Two: Two Women in Love and the Happy Family They Made, written with her wife Sarah Kate Ellis. The two mums learned they were each pregnant on the same day with due dates only three days apart! Kristen, Sarah Kate, and their two children divide their time between manhattan and Sea Cliff, New York. Sarah Kate Ellis is the president and CEO of GLAAD, the USA's leading LGBTQ+ media advocacy group, and co-author of Times Two: Two Women in Love and the Happy Family They Made. She has been a publishing executive, head of marketing for Real Simple magazine, and Creative Services director at Vogue. She, her wife Kristen, and their two children, divide their time between Manhattan and Sea Cliff, New York. The first gift Max Rambaldi remembers receiving was a yellow pencil and a stack of plain paper. She grew up in Italy, filling black spaces with her brush strokes. She believes that the world deserves more colours and shades.
