Description
When the Help becomes a hindrance, Aunty May is left clean out of patience. In this ultimate portrait of childhood optimism and cheer, the narrator proceeds from chore to chore leaving a trail of destruction behind him, oblivious to his Aunty's horror.
Author Biography
Andrew Joyner is an Australian illustrator and cartoonist. In 2009 his first picture book, The Terrible Plop, written by Ursula Dubosarsky, was published. The book was shortlisted for many awards, including the CBCA Book of the Year 2010 and the PM's Literary Awards 2010. In 2013, Andrew illustrated Jan Ormerod's The Swap, which won the 2014 CBCA Book of the Year, and has been translated into 14 languages. Andrew has achieved huge success in both Australia and overseas with his Little Hare titles - What's the Matter, Aunty May, One Little Goat and Yobbos do Yoga - and, more recently with The Pink Hat, published by Penguin Random House. Along with his children's book work, Andrew illustrates regularly for newspapers and magazines, both locally and internationally. He lives in Strathalbyn, South Australia, with his family and nineteen pets.
Reviews"Eloise meets the Cat in the Hat in this rhymed story of a boy who "helps" his beleaguered relative tidy up. . . . Joyner's illustrations, rendered in a predominantly pink, gray and turquoise palette, have a retro, high-octane look, providing energy and touches of humor to this tale about the center of the universe and his privileged aunt." --Kirkus Reviews
