Description
From laughs and legends to sledges and stuff-ups, this is the cricket season gift. From a horse that took a triple hat-trick, to captains who tossed over the telephone, and an umpire who went missing in mid-over for a wee, Favourite Cricket Yarns is a compelling smorgasbord of tall and mostly true stories, from Australian cricket's master storyteller Ken Piesse. Gaffes, sledges, bloopers and quips just in time from the man who, in the words of Ricky Ponting, lives, eats and breathes cricket.
Author Biography
Ken Piesse is the author of 65 books on cricket and football, including Great Australian Cricket Stories and Great Australian Football Stories. No living Australian sportswriter has written more books then Ken, who is an in-demand after-dinner speaker and president of the Australian Cricket Society. Ken lives on the Mornington Peninsula with his wife Susan and puppies Douglas & Ivy and kittens Katrina & Ellie. Selling Points Exploring cricket via its partnerships is an original idea - every cricket fan will want this book. Funny, entertaining and unique, this is Ken Piesse at his dazzling best. An A-Z layout makes the most of the interesting combinations.
