Description
Ages: 4-7 years Seed Magic is a friendship story for learning about plant life cycles, seasons, and hibernation. As he gathers food for the winter, Anxious Ant disturbs the garden peace. But Little Spider has a better idea- Seed Magic! She shows Anxious Ant how to grow a giant spring feast, so he won't need to work so hard next year. Seen through the eyes of the creatures preparing for winter, this kind-hearted tale of coping with the seasons, with its engaging language, will take you on a fascinating journey into the miniature natural world.

Reviews"McKinnon's ecologically minded tale unfolds with a gentleness that's in perfect harmony with her lesson. Tolland's beautiful illustrations do not anthropomorphize her characters but invest them with personality nonetheless; Little Spider's garden is indeed a lovely one. Sublime." --Kirkus Reviews "A gentle tale of friendship combined with information on the life cycle of plants. Useful for teaching environmental lessons to early elementary schoolers." --School Library Journal "This fun picture book features delightful characters, an engaging story and themes of teamwork, problem solving and friendship. ... This would make a wonderful teaching tool for children learning about nature, seasons and gardening." --Reading Time (Australia) "Seed Magic is suitable for Junior Primary Science classes observing plants and their life cycles." --ReadPlus (Australia)
