Description
A hilarious story about getting back up every time you fall. Ponk is a flightless bird, but he chooses to live at the top of a tree because of the exciting view. As often as he loses balance and falls, he climbs straight back up again. Ponk's friends find him a less ambitious place to live, but the lower branches have no view. So Ponk returns to the top and clings on to his twig ...and doesn't fall! Driven by curiosity, his friends follow, with hilarious results!
Author Biography
Edwina Wyatt Edwina Wyatt is a qualified lawyer and teacher. Her stories are whimsical explorations of characters and their often idiosyncratic relationships, and reflect her fascination for how we are both passengers and pilots in the stories of our lives. Her second book with Little Hare, Together Always, has recently been longlisted for the 2017 CBCA Early Childhood Book of the Year. Edwina lives on the south coast of New South Wales with her husband and their son. Christopher Nielsen Christopher Nielsen's weathered surfaces take inspiration from vintage design. Tin toys, Mexican wrestlers, Route 66, Matchboxes, Medical Charts and Indian Goddesses all jostle for attention amongst the flotsam and jetsam in his flip-top head. These scratchy retro images have been adopted by wineries, zoo's, radio stations and fish mongers from around the globe. He toils by lamplight in a warehouse studio in Surry Hills, Sydney surrounded by Pez dispensers, Chinese masks and several other odd illustrators. Christopher's work has been acknowledged by The AGDA Awards, 3x3, Communication Arts, American Illustration, Society Of Illustrators NY, Luerzers Archive, Hotshop Awards and The Creative Annual. He has received Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in the Illustrators Australia Awards.
