Description

A tiny clockwork hero on a quest for a heart, Canto continues fighting for love, freedom, and hope in the face of sinister and tyrannical forces. Still on the mend following his most recent confrontation with the Shrouded Man, Canto must search for allies to stand by his side in their inevitable final battle. And who could ask for better allies than the fearsome Giants? But to earn their allegiance, he'll need to solve the Labyrinth outside their city and slay the monster that lurks at its heart! Not all battles require swords, however, as our little knight proves when he and his friends find their way home blocked by a bard who demands a very strange toll- a story he's never heard before. It's a challenge unlike any Canto's encountered yet! Series co-creators David M. Booher and Drew Zucker are joined by Sebastian Piriz, Liana Kangas, Jorge Corona, and Shawn Daley for a special installment of Canto's "striking, modern fairy tale" (Newsarama). Bridging the events of Canto II- The Hollow Men and Canto III- Lionhearted, this swashbuckling, uplifting volume collects Canto & the City of Giants and both issues of Canto- Tales of the Unnamed World.

Author Biography

David M. Booher grew up in a small town outside Cleveland, Ohio and became a Los Angeles lawyer before realizing writing was more fun. When he's not writing about the oppression of people without super powers...or a dude who chases aliens...or the creepiest parts of human nature...you can find him geeking out at comic conventions and marveling at how his husband and their adopted greyhound continue to put up with him. He grew up reading Stephen King, watching The Goonies and A Nightmare on Elm Street, eating Lucky Charms in front of He-Man, trading Garbage Pail Kids, playing Nintendo, and going outside.
