No one can believe it when the new State Bank of Milton, which boasted the latest in burglar-proof vaults and the first automatic alarm in the area, is robbed by the Crow, the most notorious symbol of outlawry in the north range country of Montana. When, after three days, the sheriff and his posse fail to bring the Crow in, the banks president and directors agree to bring in an expert investigator, Mel Davitt, and offer a $5,000 reward.
