Author Biography
Leslie lives in West Texas, and she and her husband, John have been married for 29 years and have two sons, Zac and Jac. Leslie continues to work in Home Health, continuing to provide Physical Therapy to patients after 28 years. Over the years, she has served on several committees and served as a board member, including the Permian Basin Autism Network, Texas State Appointed Committee for the Consumer Directed Workgroup for over six years, Co-Chair for Electronic Visit Verification Committee (EVV), Vice President for School PTA, and was recently asked to serve on a Special Needs Committee serving the local hospital. She has also provided parent orientations/training for incoming parents of children with disabilities using consumer-directed services and been a Texas Parent to Parent Partner providing resources and blogs to a state-wide website for families. She prides herself on being a fierce advocate for her patients and especially her son, Jackson. She enjoys cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Mavericks in her free time as she is a die-hard fan.
