Description
They say Rome wasn't built in a day. Neither are the most successful marriages. Successful relationships are built using building blocks like engagement, safety, mending, loyalty, opportunity, trust, hope, and gratitude. This book reveals the elements consistently underutilized or missing in relationships, especially struggling marriages and couples considering divorce. These are elements not just to know and recognize as concepts but also to understand how they interconnect and work together to build a strong(er) and more fulfilling relationship. "Words To Love By" is written by an experienced counseling and marriage mentoring team, who also are husband and wife. This book focuses on practices that help couples improve communication, resolve conflict, and create a stronger marital bond. The happiest couples, however, learn the words to love by and know how to implement them to build and stabilize a mighty tower of love. Learn the single most important element in a strong relationship and how it acts to stabilize all the others. Discover the positive role conflict can play in a relationship and how it can be used to draw you closer rather than drive you apart. Understand the three types of safety in a healthy relationship and how to make them stronger. Recognize how engagement, flexibility, and regulation reinforce the building blocks of love to make it stronger and more stable. Learn from the wisdom of countless couples in struggling relationships and information gleaned from small group work, premarital counseling sessions, and marriage intensives. Build your lasting love with the wisdom found in this book.
