Author Biography
Elder Derrick Maurice Moore is a Christian author born in Forrest City, AR. He is the seventh of eleven children born to Fred and Mary Moore. He gave his life to the Lord at the age of 9 at his home church, Day's Temple C.O.G.I.C., under the leadership of the late-Bishop John Henry Jennings. Derrick attended and graduated from Forrest City High School and attended Arkansas State University for three years. He majored in vocal music education until he moved to Waco, Texas, by the leading of the Lord in 2007. In December of 2013, he graduated with an Associate degree from McLennan Community College in Business Management. In May of 2018, he graduated with his Bachelor's degree from Tarleton State University. Throughout life, Elder Moore accredits his aspirations to the examples set by his parents, the legacy of the late Bishop John Henry and Mother Matlena Jennings, as well as a host of other saints that have gone before him. He desires to please the Lord with all his heart, mind, and soul.
