Author Biography

Elizabeth Pen a Lozada resides in West Texas with her husband Wilfredo and their dog Scrappy. She is a certified Special Education and Spanish teacher. She has worked at Texas public schools for over 15 years. In her spare time, she enjoys jogging and studying medieval history. Elizabeth, a U.S. Army veteran, has been married for 34 years to Wilfredo, a retired Airborne paratrooper and veteran of Desert Storm. They have three sons, Isaac, Noah, and Matthew, who are the inspiration for her children's book series. This is her second book in the Arctic Babies Books series. Melisa Zumaya is a Mexican artist who has been developing her artwork experimenting with every artistic expression. Her artwork expresses the creative freedom of her imagination, thereby applying visual interpretation to all of her projects. Her main interest is nature and how we, as humans interact with it. She specializes in images about animals, plants and urban life, paying particular attention to the color, gradients and texture giving space to the imagination. Her artwork highlights the different realities reflected in life. This allows the viewer to realize the importance, beauty, and inspiration of nature and all its surroundings.
