Author Biography
Dan Barton NDD, ATD, ABIPP was born in Hong Kong in 1938 where he saw Bonsai for the first time. Throughout his career, he has extensively researched Bonsai trees and has pioneered several Bonsai training techniques. Known and respected throughout the world, he is an honorary member of several international Bonsai societies and serves on the panel of judges for Bonsai at the world-famous Chelsea Flower Show. He has been awarded two Certificates of Merit by the International Bonsai and Suiseki Exhibition Committee, Osaka, in 1985 and 1987 for photographic entries of his Bonsai. He lives in England.
