Description

Accessories remain the most popular go-to crochet projects, and many yarn stores find one-skein projects their bread-and-butter. Cost-conscious crocheters are often looking for projects to make on a budget, or ways to use stash yarn. However, single-skein projects also limit the crocheter in what she can knit and in her colour choices. Author Sharon Zientara has curated a collection that makes use of one, two, or three skeins of yarns, offering colour play and larger projects. Single-skein projects may be simple and quick to crochet, budget-friendly, or may offer a beautiful way to use a special skein of luxury yarn. Projects that take two or three skeins offer larger or more complex patterns and colourwork, while still keeping the investment of time and money low. The 24 designs are the most popular types of paid crochet patterns on Ravelry: scarves shawls, and hat; fingerless mit's and mittens; and slippers and socks. Reflecting rising trends on Pinterest, Ravelry, and crochet blogs, the designs include stitch patterns and motifs that are textural, reversible, and fresh. Designers include Kathy Merrick, Brenda Anderson, Beth Nielsen, Cristina Mershon, Terri Keller, Jessica Bolof, and Linda Skuja. The yarns used in the projects are a mix of big box, budget-friendly, and indie/luxury brands.|Crochet accessories are as easy as 1, 2, or 3 skeins of yarn! In Quick Crocheted Accessories, author Sharon Zientara has curated a collection of crocheted projects that make use of one, two, or three skeins of yarn, allowing for both colour play and larger projects.
