Reviews

"I've written about a couple of these Ultimate Cartoon Books in the past: there's one about book cartoons and one about critics. This one is about relationships: romance, weddings, divorce, therapy, affairs, and so on. You've got your couple talking to each other while sitting in bed, couples in bars and restaurants, couples in a car together. These collections aren't published by the New Yorker, but they're definitely New Yorker-style comics (and the cartoonists featured have all appeared in the New Yorker), so if you enjoy that style of humor, you'll like these as well." - GeekDad "This witty and sophisticated anthology of captioned cartoons will be appreciated by anyone who eschews saccharine sentimentality and rhapsodic romanticism. The subjects of love and marriage, divorce and infidelity, same-sex relationships and the war between the sexes, the frisson of love at first sight and the ennui that descends on long-lasting marriages are all fodder for humorous, pithy commentary." - The Beacon Newspapers The 'perfect gift for an anniversary or your divorce lawyer, ' this collection which contains the work of more the 40 New Yorker cartoonists will 'woo over hopeless romantics and cynical heartbreakers alike' with its wit and wisdom on the subject of love. - The Bookseller (UK)
