Author Biography

Jay Blakesberg is a photographer and music industry insider; he has created images in dressing rooms, recording studios, and artists' homes. His work appears regularly in many magazines, including Rolling Stone and Guitar Player. Over the last 30 years, his rock-and-roll journey has seen him work with many legendary artists, including the Grateful Dead, Santana, Tom Waits, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Radiohead, and Phish, to name just a few. He has published several volumes of his work, including books on the Grateful Dead, Primus, and the Flaming Lips.
