Author Biography
Best known for her Fragment series of small fabric collages, Lesley Riley is an internationally known teacher, author, quilter, and mixed-media artist who has a passion for color and the written word. Her work takes the form of art quilts, fabric books, dolls, and more. Lesley's art and articles have appeared in numerous publications, and her work has been in juried shows and is held in many private collections. In her first book, Quilted Memories, Lesley brought new ideas and techniques to quilting and preserving memories. Her second book, Fabric Memory Books, combined fabric and innovative ideas with the art of bookmaking. As contributing editor of Cloth Paper Scissors magazine, Lesley regularly shares her latest ideas and techniques in the magazine. Through her blog (www.lesleyriley.com/weblog) and her website (www.LesleyRiley.com), Lesley aspires to inspire others to find their own voice and to share in the magic that is art.
