Author Biography

Judith J Wurtman, PhD, discovered the connection between carbohydrate craving, serotonin, and emotional well-being in her MIT clinical studies. Founder of a Harvard University hospital weight-loss facility and co-founder of Adara Weight Management Center, she has written five books, including The Serotonin Solution, and hosts a weekly radio segment on an NPR affiliate. She has appeared on Today and Good Morning America and been featured in O: The Oprah Magazine, Health, WebMD, and the Wall Street Journal. She resides in Miami Beach, Florida.
