Reviews

The loons are a group of aquatic birds found in many parts of North America and northern Eurasia (Europe, Asia and debatably Africa). All living species of loons are members of the genus Gavia, family Gaviidae and order Gaviiformes. That's the science. "Our Love Of Loons" is a celebration of the beauty, majesty, serenity, and life experiences of these birds from their migrations, to mating and nest building, to the rearing of their young, to their flocking, and so much more. Magnificent full color photographs are enhanced by succinct and informative commentaries. "Our Love Of Loons" is truly extraordinary and would grace any personal or community library Wildlife collection and should be considered a 'must' for anyone who has ever heard the haunting call of the loon while hiking or camping in the wilderness.--Margaret Lane"Reviewer's Bookwatch" (01/01/2015)
