Description
"I love the fresh, bold style of The Rosebud Tarot, the renaming of many of the Majors (High Priestess is the Witch, Empress is Lifegiver, Hierophant is the Professor, etc.), and how the court cards have been transformed into four tiers of energies (Curiosity, Velocity, Generosity, Sovereignty). The Rosebud Tarot is sure to appeal to the up-and-coming generation of tarot readers." -Benebell Wen, author of The Holistic Tarot The Rosebud Tarot is a 78-card tarot deck based on the structure found in the classic Rider-Waite-Smith. Its exquisite images offer a dreamscape of pathways into the tarot and makes way for an inclusive experience that is more resonant for today's tarot readers. Several of the cards have been renamed including the court cards, for example: THE FOOL becomes THE YOUTH THE HIGH PRIESTESS becomes THE WITCH THE EMPRESS becomes THE LIFEGIVER THE HIEROPHANT becomes THE PROFESSOR TEMPERANCE becomes ALCHEMY JUDGEMENT becomes EMERGENCE When it comes to court cards, the names have been changed to highlight a core quality that each embodies: PAGES become CURIOSITY KNIGHTS become VELOCITY QUEENS become GENEROSITY KINGS become SOVEREIGNTY And, additionally, the decks creators have chosen to highlight the elements for each minor arcana suit, rather than using the traditional titles. PENTACLES become EARTH CUPS become WATER WANDS become FIRE SWORDS become AIR The deck comes with a guidebook, written by Diana Rose Harper, written in mythopoetic style that provides meaning, not just with keywords to memorize but as guidance for creating your own meaningful and accurate interpretations. Also provided is a brief history of the tarot and other information and resources to support you with your tarot studies.
