ReviewsIt is just wonderful. I just came back from my barn after cutting out some of the ornaments to play with. Thank you for this addition. Brenda Atchley. Keep the projects coming. With an introduction by master chip carver Barry McKenzie, you will really appreciate the 50 all-time favorite projects featured in this excellent book. For the beginner, the opening pages show you some of the basic cuts and cutting methods. An explanation of how the chips are cut. The book is full of great holiday ideas from icicle tree ornaments to delicate snowflakes. Carved eggs, quilt pattern coasters, inspirational crosses and even a decorative teapot and spoon clock. They are all here with plans and/or patterns. Chip carving can be used to great decorative effect and is a side to woodcarving which many enjoy. If you're one of these then you will welcome this book with 50 projects from specialist chip carvers across the pond such as Barry McKenzie, Tom Douglass, Roger Strautman and Elaine Dugan. Let them guide your hand as you discover how to chip carve an egg, golf balls, leaf ornaments, landscapes, crosses, letters, a birdhouse and a teapot clock. And to get you on your way, there is even an in-depth section looking at the techniques needed for successful chip carving.
