Description
Did you know that it takes at least three deep breaths to make an impact on our nervous system, which is affected by the many emotions we experience every day? Learning to breathe deep is a simple and effective tool to help us feel calm and present. This is a tool we can teach our children to empower them to overcome negative emotions and to be present during positive ones. "Little BIG Feelings" is a fun, colorful, friendly children's picture book written in rhyme that addresses different emotions children experience on a daily basis. It gives examples of circumstances that cause each emotion, lets children know that it is normal to feel them, and that everybody does, and teaches our children to breathe deep to process their emotions.
Author Biography
Deb Mills is a lover of Yoga, Travel, Music, Food and Nutrition. She was born and raised in Colorado, with roots in the Midwest and currently reside in Encinitas, CA with her two beautiful children and loving husband. She enjoys living an active, healthy, mindful lifestyle that includes a lot of spontaneity and discovery. She has an entrepreneurial spirit and ran her own business that catered to pregnant women and young children for eight years. Her passion is to reach our youngest generation through the mindful children's books she writes and to teach them about important topics in a way they can understand, relate to and process. Children are full of so much love and light. Mankind needs this light to remain hopeful and motivated. Deb Mills believes books are one of the best ways to reach a child, to teach them, to inspire them and to keep their minds creative and innocent. In our present time of technology and devices, she still believes there is a strong need for the traditional book for our children. One that they can hold, feel, turn the pages, pick up, lose and find again. The topics she writes about are all inspired by moments she has experienced or witnessed as a parent and written from the heart with the intention of raising our children up to be the best they can be! Becky Fawson is inspired by acts of kindness and stories of survivors. She loves nature, especially big trees and birds. Currently living in Southern Utah, surrounded by dessert landscaping, she has planted lots of baby trees and loves to watch them grow. While raising her five children, Becky worked as a freelance graphic designer. Now that they have left the nest, she spends her time illustrating picture books. She and her cowboy, saddlemaker husband enjoy working together on home and garden projects and spending time with their kids and growing number of grandkids.
