Description

When Manhattan schoolteacher Lily narrowly escapes an attack by a young man who turns out to be the son of a captain in Peru's rebel army, her husband and colleagues band to protect her while the NYPD searches for him-with no success. But he remembers Lily, and wants her. Will her 4th-degree Black Belt keep her safe? In the second novel of The Lily Series, public schoolteacher Lily and her friends pursue dangerous criminals on the streets of Manhattan's Lower East side.

Author Biography

Andy Rose spent 42 years working in public education. He began his career as a fifth-grade teacher in New York's Lower East Side. Many of his students there were part of dysfunctional families, or were involved in violent gangs. After realizing that he had ambitions beyond the classroom, he moved to New Jersey, where his career as an educator was distinguished by the passionate support he received from teachers, parents, and the public at large, who appreciated his integrity-based approach to leadership and consensus building. He served four years as a building principal and 25 years as Chief School Administrator of the Norwood Public School District in Bergen County. His debut novel, Lily's Payback, was a spicy thriller that portrayed schoolteachers in a role they're typically not seen--that of the avenger. Lily's Payback won awards from The London International and The Midwest Book Festivals. His short story, Little Feather, won a 2016 Writer's Digest competition. He focuses on writing and presenting a program, Ignite Your Dreams, to inspire others to tell their stories.
