Author Biography
Dr. Marilyn Beloff, PhD is a Canadian psychotherapist, marital therapist, divorce mediator, divorce coach and child specialist. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education, a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology, a PhD In Psychology, and has been in practice for over 30 years. Dr. Beloff has worked with families going through separation and divorce as a guidance counselor, therapist, family mediator, and within the collaborative practice as a child specialist and divorce coach. She has spoken about her doctoral research regarding the creation of healing divorce rituals and provided examples at international conferences. She presented an enactment of a healing divorce ritual at the closing for the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals Forum in Vancouver, 2003. Dr. Beloff is passionate in her pursuit of tikkunolam (a Jewish concept of repair and healing of the soul of the world) and hopes that Moving Forward will provide healing to those suffering from the wounds of divorce.Dr. Beloff lives with her husband in Vancouver, Canada.
