Daily life is increasingly framed in terms of information. This book advances an important new view of information and surveillance practices, as well as their related agencies, politics and powers. Starting with a new methodology of studying information life cycles, Kaufmann provides four case studies which critically engage with surveillance. In so doing, she presents an original and comprehensive argument about the materiality of information which will help us navigate information regimes today.
